We had a family birthday party dinner at El Taco Tote and it was wonderful. Our order took a little longer than usual but was well worth the wait!!! We are going back for sure!!!Review by anonymous on February 24th, 2006
I visited the resturant for take out. I ordered 2 tacos on flour tortilla with a side of beans. I received my tacos on corn tortillas with no beans in sight. The food was good but if they can't get a take out order correct.......Review by anonymous on January 14th, 2006
Excellent food, Excellent service! The tortillas are out of this world fresh and warm. The buffet style salsa bar is filled with goodies, and soft drink refills are free! I would recommend this place to anyone seeking a great meal!Review by anonymous on April 21st, 2005
El Taco Tote is a great/fresh fast food Mexican restaurant. The staff was helpful and we got to sample all the types of meats before we chose our tacos. The tortillas are home made and the salsa bar is tasty and fresh. This certainly is not TacoBell!Review by Phil on November 14th, 2004
I heard about this restaurant on one of the local radio morning shows, where it got a good review. I took my wife there for dinner, thinking the food is prepared fresh in front of you. The tacos we ordered were pre-wrapped and plopped onto a tray almost immediately after we ordered, no fresh preparation there. The person who took our order was not very helpful and when we asked questions about different options available, since it is a new restaurant, we were told, rather rudely, that they were, "not Taco Bell". I have never been to a Mexican restaurant that did not give you at least a small portion of sour cream with your order, but we were told that we must pay extra for that by the woman attending to the lettuce and salsa, and she seemed embarassed to tell me I had to go purchhase sour cream. I am accustomed to being able to put cheese on some of my Mexican dishes, but the fresh ingredient bar did not have any cheese. The rice tasted like minute rice with no seasoning. Overall we were not happy with this restaurant.
