Not for those wanting a super buffet or panda express. It's our favorite Chinese food in Tucson - my wife and I, that is. I have to agree that the soups are particularly good.

This was my first and last visit to this silly place, I went in one day for lunch hoping they had a buffet but did not have one. Instead I ordered the lunch special for 5.50, included egg flower soup, one main entree with fried rice, and 2 wontons dipped with sweet n sour on one side. The food was okay nothing overly delicious, but what really upset me was the service, there was two girls working the front. They had the biggest staring problems and one would go laugh in the back with the cooks pretty loudly and annoying laughs as well. I thought this was really unprofessional,I didn't enjoy my meal at all, the atmosphere was very uncomfortable and like I said no one likes to be watched at while they are dining, its just plain rude! I will not be returning, just thought I try something different.

The best Chinese restaurant in Tucson. For those of you that think Pei Wei is the answer to Chinese food you MUST try Szechuan Omei. Amazingly good lo mein and the BEST hot and sour soup I've ever had in any city!

We stopped by Szechuan Omei on a Thursday night for a late (about 7:45-8PM) dinner.

The restaurant is clean and well-lit. Service was quick and friendly.

We had Sesame Beef and Moo Goo Gai Pan. The former was good and spicy without being overly so and the beef had that desirable crispy/sticky characteristic. The chicken was well-prepared, smooth and mild.
