we can't figure out why there is always a wait to get in! the sauce on our pizza was way to salty. the cookie desert was pretty good though. we won't bother to go again.

Three of us stopped at Oregano's for a late lunch. There was no trouble getting a table, though they were busy. We've experienced some 30-45 minute waits for tables during normal meal times. They could probably have twice as many tables and still have waits at times. The decor is clean and simple, very casual.
The Zany Ziti ($6.89) was a huge portion covered with melted cheese and accompanied by two very large pieces of garlic bread. A side order of meatballs ($1.99) consisted of two huge meatballs with marinara sauce. My son enjoyed having less than half of this feast for lunch and brought the rest home.
My wife had the Veggie Wedgie sandwich ($6.59) which had eggplant and portobello among many other items. There was no problem with her request for marinara sauce instead of the normal mayo-based spread. The sandwich came on a very tasty foccacia bread and came with fries. She enjoyed her choice and took about half home.
I had the Italian Stuffed sandwich ($6.59). Again, there was no trouble in my request to leave the olives off. We were a little concern with our special requests as the waiter was not writing anything down, but there were no errors in our orders. This sandwich has salami, pepperoni, and other Italian meats and cheese. The bread was very crunchy from the baking of the sandwich. Very good. I also made it halfway through and brought the rest home.
Total bill with a few iced teas and tax came to $26.95 plus tip for the three of us.
I consider Oregano's a bargain. Most people will bring home an extra meal with them. Everything we've had there (yes, we've had the pizza) has been excellent and the service is good. The only minus would be having to wait at times.
