Maya Quetzal may be one of my favorite Tucson restaurants for the sake its simplicity alone. The flavors are not overly exotic but authentic. The people that run this place really make it special, especially if you forget your leftovers and they take pity on you and your forgetfulness. Everything is a winner on the menu, but especially the Plato Vegetariano, the Puercito de Pipan, and anything with mole. The sangria is also delicious, if not a touch too sweet. Also, take care with the salsa if you are heat sensitive.
